Twight, New Moon, Blah Blah Blah...

So we all know that everyone and their mother has heard of the new book/movie series of Twilight, New Moon, Eclipse, and Breaking Dawn. I actually read the first two books but by the third one I got really bored of it. On a side note, Christina (my bfff. and yes those are 3 f's. it's not a typo), I still have your book, which I have not finished nor do I plan to anytime soon.

Anyways, I got really into the first two books, I mean what teenage girl wouldn't? A plain ol' regular girl who feels like an outcast falls in love with the most gorgeous guy in school and finds out he is a vampire. I don't know one girl who cannot relate to Bella and who doesn't fantasize about falling in love with a badass vampire who would literally do anything for you. The second book gets even better when you find out her best guy friend becomes a badass werewolf and ultimately falls in love with Bella too. So by the third book, I'm thinking what more could this Bella chick want? I really don't know what happens in the third book, I completely forgot everything it was about but what I do remember is thinking that I'm getting a little tired of Bella being the victim and I'm tired of all these vampires and werewolves putting their life on the line to save her sorry butt.

So by the time the movie came out I had already become uninterested in it. I thought well maybe I'll go see it if they have a good cast because in my head, Edward and Jacob are some pretty good looking guys. When I started seeing billboards and advertisements of movie with the cast, I could not believe the guy they chose to play Edward.... CREEPER. Seriously, I don't see what all the hype is about it him. So when I see videos like this posted up on YouTube, I'm just confused. Okay, so this guy is obviously pretty ripped but I don't think he's something that all these teenage girls should obsess over him like a boy-band in the 90's. Maybe it's just me because I got turned off to the books, or maybe it's just my taste, maybe it I'm just "too old" for that stuff. I don't know, you tell me what you think.

Sorry Jay-Nice...this wasn't one of the books on my reading list. I'm not really into the whole Vampire genre and if I was I probably would choose one of the classics. From the previews I've seen for the movie, it kind of looks like "Gilmore Girls" meets a teenage slasher movie. Can't say I like either...sorry.
When you want to pick up some quality literature, let me know...

Yes, at first I was a bit enthusiastic for Rob's casting as Edward; he was a hottie as Cedric in Harry Potter. But I was highly disappointed in the movie redition overall. I think it's always difficult to successfully adapt a 2 hour movie from a good book. And some do it better than others....this Twilight movie kinda tanked. But he's eye candy and probably girls project the wonderfuly Edward they created in their minds and are over-looking how shor he falls to representing this near perfect character. So don't worry, the hype will fade soon enough. Just don't let his performance ruin the character.

haha oh janice i know you so well, i figured this would be your response to something like this. i remember you saying you were tired of the way bella was always complaining about life when she had everything a girl could ever want. to second your opinion, yes edward they chose creeps the shit out of me. but jacob, once he gets that haircut he is pretty freakin sexy let me tell you..

hmmm...where do i start..
the movie was allright. but i prefer a vampire movie like interview with the vampire. as far as the books go, no thank you. I personally think that the reason its so big is because of the fans of the books and their friends they drag to go see it with them! and those weird special effects were a bit too much. I think there was not enough fighting, just one fight scene!! and for some reason it beat the awesome pineapple express fight scene in the MTV movie awards... what a damn shame! and another reason girls are gonna watch that movie is because of that one werewolf guy, even my little sister has a poster of him on her wall(sigh).i saw the trailer and there was no point to showing that guy without a shirt but to get girls to watch the movie for the sole reason to watch him without a shirt!! damn fighting scene!
