I hate to start the blog this way but this seems to be all over the internet right now. Mike Tyson's 4-year-old daughter, Exodus Tyson, was pronounced dead at St. Josephs Hospital 11:45 this morning.
According to Yahoo! omg!, Exodus was playing near exercise equipment while her mother was cleaning another room yesterday around 10:30 am. She sent her 7-year-old son to look for Exodus where he found her with a treadmill cord wrapped around her neck.
She immediately took the cord off of her neck, called 911 and began to perform CPR before the ambulance came to take her to St. Josephs Hospital. Exodus was on life support and in a critical condition before she was pronounced deceased this morning.
I can't even imagine what the Tyson family is feeling. Having a 10-year-old sister and an almost 2-year-old sister myself, I don't even want to think about how I would feel if I lost either of them. My sympathies go out to the family. No parent should ever have to bury their child.

"No parent should ever have to bury their child."--I agree, it should be the other way around...
no they shouldnt ever need to go through that. the first thing that came to mind was evangeline, i know you thought about her when you read this. i love you and your family jamanice, youre right...it shouldnt be that way.
i never saw this coming
How bout having to see it everytime you turned on the computer?!?! I wonder if that would make the grief worse.
First off, I'd like to say that I am truly sorry that such an event occurred. No parent or child should have to go through such a traumatic and saddening event.
After saying that, I also have to question why an individual, like Mike Tyson, is a father at all. Now I am not suggesting that he is the cause or this event, nor am I implying that he deserves to go through such an event. I am just saying that after following much of Mike Tyson's career, he has never showed an ounce of responsibility, self-control, or strong moral character. He has been imprisoned for physical and sexual abuse, and in an act of barbarism chewed off an opponent’s ear on national television. Does this add-up to father material?
I also wanted to provide a quote refering to corona's post...
"In peace, sons bury their fathers. In war, fathers bury their sons."
Herodotus- Greek Historian
